this is kind of my favorite thing in the whole process of story development, where i am slowing down on gathering shiny idea-stones and now it's time to really, really look at them and place stones that don't seem to have much of a connection together and think about how they're connected and about what it means to have this stone, and looking for the instability of the collection of ideas one I have examined them?
and then NOT SOLVING that instability, because that's the story, there, that's it right there oh boy i'm gonna show everyone my rocks
